Hello all, In this tutorial, we will learn how to download and install python in our windows 10 computer.
Downloading python
If you want to download python via your computer browser, follow below steps:
- Navigate to https://www.python.org/downloads/
- You will be redirected to the Download page of python (“Download python – python.org”).
- After that, Navigate to the heading “Download the latest version for Windows” and activate the below link that will be named as Download python and its version.
- You will be asked to download the python setup file by your browser or browser may start to download directly the file depending on your browser and its settings.
Installing python
After downloading the python setup file, To install it follow below steps:
- run the setup file, If your computer requires administrator privelleges to install, authenticate it by the appropriate administrator password.
- Press tab key until you get add python version to path checkbox and check that checkbox. By checking this checkbox, you can able to open python through run dialog box, command prompt and IDEs made for python recognizes the installed location of python.
- Press tab key again until you get “install now” button and activate that button to start installation process.
- Wait until installation finishes and your screen reader notifies completion of installation.
- After installation process ends, if the button is present for disable path length limits, activate that button and activate “close” button.
Opening python
You can open python through run dialog box by typing as “python” or by navigating to the python folder present in the start menu.
